Devlog 02: More prototypes!

This week we made big leaps on both art and programming:
Art Bible
We are bringing our visions and many talks between eachother to life with some sketches! Along with a biiiig moodboard describing everything we want to do in detail.. We just have to draw the ideas down now! Here are a few of them:

Art Pipeline
To prepare for the big amount of assets we will have to create (We have a whole mansion to fill). We prepared to make these quickly and efficiently!
We set up a substance painter smart material to quickly add a solid base to paint on using curvature maps, AO, light generators, etc...
We also set up a material in UE5 for tileable materials like walls or floors. We can just put it on a default box and scale it however we like! (Makes it way easier for us for level design). It als adds on a dynamic gradient, and it works however you want to scale and turn the object! *magic*

And lastly we did various small tests here and there. Ranging from VFX to character blockouts to level layout and so much more:
Programming Wise
A lot is being done behind the screens! We are diving deep on the enemy AI and getting to know the system:

As well as cutting up our game mechanics in HackNPlan, preparing in advance what we're going to do and making even more prototypes of how we're going to do it! Sadly enough there's nothing flashy to show yet, so.... stay tuned for next week!
And do say hi if you're reading this!
