Devlog 06: No Rest for the Wicked

Back from the dead
Hi, It's been a while since last time! But we have risen up out of our coffins again to give you a new update about our game!
Renovating the mansion
The mansion looks a bit different now! We have added floor and wall textures to make the mansion look more real! We hope this will make the characters and items look grounded in the scene and be a solid base to build upon!
New objects!
And we're not just stopping at the walls and floors, look at our finished coffin! It will serve as a perfect carrier to stack and carry multiple items with!. Alongside the coffin we're finishing other objects like this portrait, chest, goblet, letters, curtains and so much more! Some of these items are super important to the vampires and will have to be carried out! Others will be used to set dress the mansion, making each nook and cranny look unique and lively!
Meet the enemy! >:)
He’s finally here! Our renovator model is finished and ready walk around in the mansion. He may look harmless. and he is but, make sure he doesn't see you! Humans can't know vampires exist after all..
Enemy AI Routines
Our programmers have been working their magic again. For example: The enemy AI just got a major upgrade! Enemies now have more states and behaviors enabling them to have interesting routines to avoid. This will up the challenge and make moving around a little more tense!
Along with that they have more visual feedback like this dynamically chaning vision cone seen below!
The vision cone changing color:
The enemy AI sleeping and getting awakened by sounds the player made:
Some code snippets for the enthousiasts/fellow coders reading this!:

Be careful!
You'll have to thread carefully with these new breakable objects! Be carefull to bump into tables and topple over valuable pottery, this will create havoc! The falling pots will make a sound and deduct points from your final score! So plan out your moves beforehand and communicate with your partner to avoid clumsy mistakes! Be warned!
Clean movement
Moving around feels super satisfying now! We polished up some final things making sure that everything feels great! Download the build and try it out yourself!
See you!
That's all for this week. I hope you all got a nice vacation, we for sure did! But now we're feeling super refreshed and recharged to tackle our next production sprint!
Got any feedback, funny ideas or bugs you want to point out? Make sure to comment down below!
Untill next time! Bye! :)
